These items look
absolutely gorgeous right out of the package. But... I
tried assembling one of them, and I ran into a
difficulty. There are small burrs of brass on the inside
of the jacket where the drill perforated the metal. When
I tried to slide the gun barrel through the jacket, it
got hung up on these burrs and bent. It is an incredibly
delecate rod of metal, and it bends almost just by
looking at it. What I need to do is take a drill bit just
small enough to fit inside the jacket and router it out,
cleaning out any burrs, before trying again to assemble
the piece. The photo of the completed barrel on Master's
website looks amazing, so I hope it works, as these will
likely be the finest replacement barrels possible for our
.30cal Brownings.
