As you can make out in the image above, the hybrid hull was crafted by splicing together the hull front of an ESCI (Italeri) M4A1 and the rear hull from the Heller M4. This conversion set is designed to fit the Heller kit, so by using the Heller hull, I'm hoping that it will be a drop fit onto the Heller plastic lower hull tub. All surface details on the hull appear to be accurate for this version, with the sole exception of a small bump on the glacis, between the brackets for mounting the gun travel lock. I'm not sure what that is for, as it wasn't present on the original ESCI kit, and the instructions for this kit ignore it. The photo of this specific tank (see below) shows a pile of stowage items on the hull front obscuring the nose of the tank. Many of the parts seen above are copied from the source kits, but those that are new look to be very well made.

The turret is the later type turret seen on some Fireflies, with the original oval loader's hatch, rather than the square hatch seen on most Fireflies. I've seen photographs of IC Hybrids with this type of hatch, but I don't know if it's correct for this specific tank, as I've seen only one photograph of it. Regardless, I have no problem with it. You can see that there are two gun travel locks included here, the original lock for the front hull, and the new lock specific to the Firefly's 17pdr cannon that is attached to the rear engine deck. Only the latter lock is appropriate for this tank, as the photo below shows, so don't attach the other one, as the instructions would have you do.

An extremely nice turned aluminum gun barrel is included, along with a brass muzzle brake. It looks like the piece from RB Model, so I'm guessing that Braille Strike has sourced them from RB.

Etched brass parts are included for the headlight and periscope brush guards, which will look fantastic, rather than the plastic kit parts. This etched brass set is also sold separately by Braille Strike.

Decals are included for a single tank from 2 Troop, 'A' Squadron, 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters), as pictured on the box top. Below is a link to a full size version of that image. From what you can see in this photo, the markings appear to be correct. The insigna for the 4th Armoured Brigade is not visible in the image below, but the instructions show us where these markings were located on other Shermans from this unit. Looking closely at the photograph, we can see some other features of ACHILLES, including a wire basket fabricated on the hull rear, likely for holding stowage, as well as a box of some sort (I think it's a 17pdr ammo box) located on top of the radio box on the turret rear. Had the crew simply set the box there temporarily, or was it permanently attached there as additional storage space? Spare track links are included in the set for mounting on the front of the final drive assembly, and one will have to source additional boxes and barrels to pile on the hull front in order to replicate the photo.

This appears to be an excellent set, and I look forward to building it.
