Modeling the Sherman Tank in 1/72nd Scale

Out of the Blue Decals
US Army Vehicle Numbers & Slogans
Kit #EP 785

I've never heard of this company before. The printing and even the numbering of the set are very reminiscent of Peddinhaus Decals, and indeed, Milan Vins confirmed to me that this brand is part of Peddinghaus.

I don't believe there are specific marking schemes here, but rather a collection of bumper codes, artwork and nick-names for several tanks and I think other vehicles as well. Many of them are easily recognizable, but some others I've never heard of. I haven't researched these closely enough to determine if this is just a haphazard collection of markings, or if there are complete sets of markings here for specific tanks, such as Classy Peg, Battling Bitch, etc. I am very excited to see the rolling dice of the 175th Tank Battalion in the Philippines. We have several resin kits of the M4 Composite available to us, but with very few options for markings, so these are very welcome.

I had to heavily adjust the brightness and contrast on this scan to make the white markings legible. The colors on the real decals are a bit brighter and more vivid than they appear here.

My sincere gratitude to Tracks & Troops for providing the review sample.
