M4 Sherman Composite MR Models
Kit #7223

One of the few Sherman variants not yet provided to modelers in a plastic kit, the composite hull Sherman has always been one of my favorites. I've always wanted to build one of them in the markings of the 175th Tank Battalion in the Philippines (the ones with the two rolling dice markings on the hull side). This is the perfect kit with which to do so. MR Models is one of the few resin companies making this version, and it is far and away the best one available.

Meant to be used with an ESCI Sherman kit, it won't take a whole lot of effort to alter the set to fit a more modern Sherman model, like Dragon or Trumpeter. A few small blemishes are present in the resin, but nothing that can't be easily fixed. It's an absolutely gorgeous kit. The only weak spot are the wheels, which really do not exhibit the level of fineness shown on the rest of the kit. I'll be replacing them with some Calibre72 wheels.
