And Modell Trans gets
the award for the most creative name of an accessory set
I've ever seen. What's in this set? Sherman parts. Levity aside, Modell Trans also gets high marks for one of the most useful photoetched detail sets I've seen. There is nothing in this set I wouldn't use. Some of the most critical items on a model kit that need replacing with etched metal are included here: brush guards for the head and tail lights, periscope guards, main gun sight, antennae guard, and storage brackets for the front hull. No silly pioneer tools, lift rings, or other wasted metal are included. If I could, I would like to suggest to Modell Trans that they consider marketing an additional set of "Sherman Parts" and call it say, "More Sherman Parts". I suggest including all the bits seen here, as well as track return skids, mounting brackets and straps for the pioneer tools, and the blade sight for the main gun. With those pieces, it would still be a generic set for use with any Sherman kit, yet it would have many more useful parts that most Sherman kits lack. Regardless, this present item is superb set and a great value. |
