| I have been waiting for
a very long time for someone to produce this set. With
all of the Achilles conversions and kits I own, I've been
in dire need of replacing a number of their gun barrels,
but before now, there has been only a single replacement
barrel on the market from ExtraTech, which is long out of
production. Although we've had several 17pdr barrels
offered for the Firefly (though only recently), those
have not been appropriate for the Achilles, as they lack
the cylindrical counterweight just behind the muzzle
brake. I have never had any success at trying to
scratchbuild that part, so this set is warmly welcomed.
And it lives up to the manufacturer's name, as being a
masterful piece. According
to the instructions, this part is a direct fit into the
Unimodel kit, but it also gives the diameter of the hole
to be drilled in other kits to make the barrel fit.
